Meet Anne: Clinical Expertise Rooted in Decades of Care
Anne is a highly skilled Licensed Massage Therapist and former Physical Therapist with nearly three decades of international clinical experience. She began her healthcare career in Germany in 1998 and became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through 240 hours of specialized training in the renowned Vodder Method. Her background includes extensive experience in complex decongestive therapy, oncology care, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
After practicing physical therapy for 12 years throughout Europe and the United States, Anne expanded her clinical approach by earning her massage therapy license in 2011. Today, she combines clinical precision with a holistic, patient-centered philosophy to create highly individualized treatment plans designed to support both healing and long-term wellness.
Anne specializes primarily in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), alongside advanced therapeutic treatment for complex orthopedic, soft tissue, and connective tissue conditions. Her modalities include Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Re-Education, Breast/Chest Massage, Intraoral Massage, and advanced stretching techniques to help optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Anne Currently Focuses Her Care On:
• Breast and chest conditions including fibrocystic breast disease, breast implant illness, breast augmentation recovery, capsular contracture, and related concerns
• Cancer-related care including mastectomy, lumpectomy, DIEP flap reconstruction, radiation fibrosis, cording, and scar tissue treatment
• Post-surgical rehabilitation for cosmetic and gender-affirming procedures such as tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, body lifts, and liposuction
• Fibromyalgia and autoimmune-related conditions requiring gentle, supportive therapeutic care
To further expand her already diverse clinical skill set, Anne recently enrolled in Fascial Counterstrain training through the Jones Institute, allowing her to offer this innovative and pain-free method of soft tissue manipulation to her clients.
In addition to her clinical work, Anne serves as the clinical educator for Manual Lymphatic Drainage, breast/chest massage, and post-surgical rehabilitation at Unlocking The Body. She is also a Washington State-approved provider of continuing education (CEU) curriculum for Licensed Massage Therapists.
