ANNE SCHIELE, LMT

Anne - Martine Schiele, LMT began her career in ’98 as a Physical Therapist in Germany. After graduation she started working in an outpatient clinic where she discovered her passion for Massage/Manual Therapy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). After completing 240 hours of training in MLD she became a Certified MLD Therapist, focusing on edema management in post-cancer and post-op care and assisting in body detoxing ( breast implant illness, dietary, generally slow working Lymphatic System, etc). After working in Physical Therapy for 12 years in Germany and the United States, she decided to follow her true passion and enrolled at Everest College to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and Spa Specialist.

Since graduation in 2011, Anne has worked in both spa and clinical settings. She further deepened her knowledge and experience by working on clients with orthopedic conditions, especially those with acute and chronic low back pain and neck / shoulder conditions such as whiplash, frozen shoulder, and rotator cuff injuries. The modalities she uses for these and most other conditions include Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Neuromuscular Re-education and a variety of active and passive stretching techniques.

Though coming from a purely medical background, Anne enjoys providing Relaxation Massages to promote well-being, reduce stress and improve overall health for her clients. Utilizing different relaxation techniques she is successfully working with people who suffer from Anxiety, PTSD, Insomnia and related conditions.

Anne loves to learn and further her knowledge by completing various different courses in continuing education. She received her Intraoral Massage Endorsement in 2015 which significantly improved her success in working with people who suffer from TMJD, neck injuries and frequent headaches. Due to her specific interest in Holistic Care she continued her education in Natural Holistic Remedies and received her certificate in 2017. In May 2018 she completed the WA state required certification for breast massage to provide care for lymphatic work post mastectomy, breast implant placement, or removal and scar tissue rehab for other breast related surgical procedures.

In her spare time Anne volunteers as a guest speaker teaching at Clover Park College in Lakewood. She enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, running and working out whenever she can in addition to gardening, playing the violin and most of all coking up delicious home cooked meals.
